Meal Tickets Hits Screens Around Australia in Februrary

Meal Tickets is a film which I’ve written about a bunch on this here website. I called it the third best Australian film of 2017. I had this to say about it in a ⋆⋆⋆⋆1/2 reviewMeal Tickets is a great, powerful film about music and the artists journey that’s full of excitement, loud music, raucous parties and just a little bit of sex. I even had a chat with director Mat de Koning about this film here. So yeah, you could say, I like this film a lot.

But, my words aren’t much without the backing of other great minds – namely Natalie Giles from X-Press Magazine who called it ‘hectic, heady and hysterical’ and gave it a 9/10. And Simon Collins from The West Australian called it ‘incredibly raw’.

All of this is just padding for what you came here to hear… if you missed Meal Tickets when it screened at the Revelation Film Festival or Melbourne Documentary Film Festival last year, then fear not as it’s going to be having a spin around Australia at some must see screenings. Andrew has been a film lover all of his life. For a while now he's been talking about how great films are and usually that's been directly to his wife, Bernadette. Now with AB Film Review everyone else in the world can listen to what Andrew has to say to his wife. Bernadette grew up renting videos from a Plains Video. She mostly hired out Cry Baby and wore the tape thin learning the lines to the John Waters classic. After a series of arguments in the car ride home with her husband, Andrew, the two decided to record their arguments and launch them into the world for everyone to listen to.
