Gurrumul Documentary Releases First Trailer

Madman Films has released the first trailer for the highly anticipated documentary Gurrumul. Directed by Paul Williams, this documentary follows the great indigenous artist Geoffrey Gurrumul Yunupingu. Blind from birth, he found a life through music that was inspired by his community – Elcho Island in far North East Arnhem Land. As the trailer shows, Gurrumul lived a life in two worlds – his home land, and the one that lauded him with accolades abroad. Gurrumul’s voice is a powerful one, and one that will no doubt move anyone who ventures into his world.

For Perth based folks – Gurrumul will be screening at the Perth Lotterywest Film Festival from the 12th of Feb through to the 25th. Check here for further details.

Andrew has been a film lover all of his life. For a while now he's been talking about how great films are and usually that's been directly to his wife, Bernadette. Now with AB Film Review everyone else in the world can listen to what Andrew has to say to his wife. Bernadette grew up renting videos from a Plains Video. She mostly hired out Cry Baby and wore the tape thin learning the lines to the John Waters classic. After a series of arguments in the car ride home with her husband, Andrew, the two decided to record their arguments and launch them into the world for everyone to listen to.
