88 – Paddington 2, Justice League, The Killing of a Sacred Deer, Jim & Andy, Spookers, Tower, Wilson, The Dark Tower

It’s a two hour epic episode this one, and unlike Justice League, you get this one for free. Whether it’s as entertaining as Justice League is up to you. Outside of that film, we also chat about the sequel to PaddingtonPaddington 2. We also take a look at the bizarre world of Yorgos Lanthimos with The Killing of a Sacred Deer. Actor Jim Carrey and comedian Andy Kaufman get explored via the making of Man on the Moon with the Netflix documentary, Jim & Andy: The Great Beyond – Featuring a Very Special, Contractually Obligated Mention of Tony Clifton. Way back in July, Andrew caught Spookers at the Revelation Film Festival. Now it’s out on DVD, we catch up with it again to see if it holds up. Also from RevFest is Tower, a documentary about the shooting in Texas in 1966 and the survivors of this tale. Daniel Klowes adapts his own text with the help of Woody Harrelson in Wilson. And finally, Andrew gives a short reading from the work of Stephen King as we dive into the cinematic world of The Dark Tower. We are joined by Australian wildlife, clinking glasses, and an air conditioner in this episode.

Andrew has been a film lover all of his life. For a while now he's been talking about how great films are and usually that's been directly to his wife, Bernadette. Now with AB Film Review everyone else in the world can listen to what Andrew has to say to his wife. Bernadette grew up renting videos from a Plains Video. She mostly hired out Cry Baby and wore the tape thin learning the lines to the John Waters classic. After a series of arguments in the car ride home with her husband, Andrew, the two decided to record their arguments and launch them into the world for everyone to listen to.
