This episode comes with a trigger warning as we discuss multiple films that deal with sexual assault and trauma.

Through sickness, we bring you all a new episode! Here we showcase a bunch of new films that’ll be hitting Australian cinemas soon. Starting off with the great new Woody Allen film, Café Society, we then move in to Paul Verhoeven’s return to cinema with the masterful Elle. We then take a look at the true story of Joe Cinque’s Consolation. Andrew caught the documentary The Baulkham Hills African Ladies Troupe and ends up on the wrong side of popular opinion. For some reason, Keanu gets a look in as well. Bernadette caught the latest from director Rebecca Miller, Maggie’s Plan. Finally, the new Netflix documentary Audrie & Daisy gets a look in. (At the end I say that the song is Urthboy’s Daughter of the Light, but the song I actually put in is Little Girl’s Dad.)

Andrew has been a film lover all of his life. For a while now he's been talking about how great films are and usually that's been directly to his wife, Bernadette. Now with AB Film Review everyone else in the world can listen to what Andrew has to say to his wife. Bernadette grew up renting videos from a Plains Video. She mostly hired out Cry Baby and wore the tape thin learning the lines to the John Waters classic. After a series of arguments in the car ride home with her husband, Andrew, the two decided to record their arguments and launch them into the world for everyone to listen to.
