Support Us on Patreon!

Hey folks! Just like every other podcast and independent website out there, AB Film Review has gone live on Patreon. We’ve made this decision to go on Patreon just to help cover the costs of hosting the podcast. If we get any extra, then party pies for all!

What do we offer on Patreon? (Besides the content we already provide that is.) Well, head on over and have a look see right… HERE or click this helpful button right here: Become a Patron!

On top of that, here’s the spiel:

Welcome to the AB Film Review & The Last New Wave. We’re a film review website where husband and wife team, Andrew and Bernadette, discuss Australian cinema and the latest films releases.

But Andrew and Bernadette, film review podcasts are everywhere. Why should I support you?

That’s a good question random voice! Thanks for asking. Why should you support us on Patreon? Well, yes, film review podcasts are a dime a dozen, that’s for sure. For us, we feel that our great rapport creates some enjoyable discussions about films while maintaining a good understanding of the ins and outs of film making.

The other aspect is that because we’re based in Australia, and due to this we have decided to run an Australian film podcast titled The Last New Wave. The focus for this podcast is to showcase the wide and varied landscape that is Australian cinema. This includes discussing new and old films, while also interviewing filmmakers from all across Australia. As we’re huge fans of Australian cinema, we would like to think that our humble podcast helps in getting the word out for some of the best releases that Australian cinema has to offer.

So, on top of trying to provide a great quality film review podcast and site, we also work full time jobs and therefore all our hard earned dollars goes towards seeing films in the cinema or buying DVD’s and Blu-Ray’s to review. That’s where Patreon comes in. With any support from Patreon, we’re able to ensure that we can continue attending those screenings and be able to provide a higher quality podcast.

Wow Andrew and Bernadette, that sounds exciting. What if there’s a film that I love and want to hear you review?

Well, thanks to Patreon, we’ve added in the option of telling us what to review. If there’s a film that you feel we’ve missed, or an Australian film you want to hear us cover on The Last New Wave, you can select that option and we’ll discuss it on an upcoming episode.

What do you get when you support us?

No, thank you.

Andrew has been a film lover all of his life. For a while now he's been talking about how great films are and usually that's been directly to his wife, Bernadette. Now with AB Film Review everyone else in the world can listen to what Andrew has to say to his wife. Bernadette grew up renting videos from a Plains Video. She mostly hired out Cry Baby and wore the tape thin learning the lines to the John Waters classic. After a series of arguments in the car ride home with her husband, Andrew, the two decided to record their arguments and launch them into the world for everyone to listen to.
