80 – Hounds of Love, Get Out, 20th Century Women, Colossal, Split

There are eighty of these review things? Well then, lets get onto it. We cover the old and the new on this episode as we live in Australia and universal release dates are a foreign language to us. First of all we discuss the new West Australian made thriller, Hounds of Love. Then we go back to early 2017 America with Jordan Peele’s horror, Get Out. Then we go further back and get all ‘pre-Oscars 2016’ buzzy with Mike Mills 20th Century Women. Andrew gets his annual Anne Hathaway kick as she deals with alcohol addiction and monsters in Colossal. And finally, we wrap up with a film that everybody got mildly excited about at the beginning of the year, Split.

This is as good a point as any to notify that the reviews of Get Out and Split are full spoiler reviews so, if you haven’t seen the films, then please skip those reviews.

Andrew has been a film lover all of his life. For a while now he's been talking about how great films are and usually that's been directly to his wife, Bernadette. Now with AB Film Review everyone else in the world can listen to what Andrew has to say to his wife. Bernadette grew up renting videos from a Plains Video. She mostly hired out Cry Baby and wore the tape thin learning the lines to the John Waters classic. After a series of arguments in the car ride home with her husband, Andrew, the two decided to record their arguments and launch them into the world for everyone to listen to.
