74 – The Edge of Seventeen, 13th, War on Everyone, 45 Years, Krisha, Other People, The Assassin, Bridget Jones’s Baby, Everything is Copy

Another collection of 2016-ish films on this episode as we once again trawl through the many films we missed during the year, as we prepare ourselves for our end of year wrap up episode. Here, we go through the teenage years with Hailee Steinfeld in The Edge of Seventeen. Next up we look at the great essay of the way racism is built into the American constitution in Ava Duvernay’s 13th. Michael Pena and Alexander Skarsgaard declare War on Everyone to varied results. Charlotte Rampling’s marriage devolves in a spoiler discussion of 45 Years. Thanksgiving is thrown asunder in the family drama Krisha, which is followed up with another family drama – this time about cancer – in Other People. Andrew attempts to explain the plot of The Assassin to Bernadette. In wrapping up we briefly touch on Bridget Jones’s Baby and Everything is Copy.

Andrew has been a film lover all of his life. For a while now he's been talking about how great films are and usually that's been directly to his wife, Bernadette. Now with AB Film Review everyone else in the world can listen to what Andrew has to say to his wife. Bernadette grew up renting videos from a Plains Video. She mostly hired out Cry Baby and wore the tape thin learning the lines to the John Waters classic. After a series of arguments in the car ride home with her husband, Andrew, the two decided to record their arguments and launch them into the world for everyone to listen to.
