Win a Copy of The Man From Hong Kong Bluray!

The Man From Hong Kong

The Man From Hong Kong is a great Ozploitation film directed by Brian Trenchard-Smith. It’s explosive, it’s entertaining, it’s full of the kind of action that is missing from modern Australian action films. If you’re unfamiliar with The Man From Hong Kong, then make sure to listen to The Last New Wave episodes on the film here (film discussion with Miranda Sajdak & interview with Brian Trenchard-Smith).

Umbrella Entertainment have delivered quite possibly the best Australian Bluray to be released in 2016. Not only has the film received a stunning 1080p HD release from an exclusive 4K transfer, it’s been bundled alongside a bunch of Brian Trenchard-Smith films *deep breath*: DeathcheatersStunt RockKung Fu KillersDangerfreaks, and The Stuntmen. So, there’s all that, but also commentaries, trailers, behind the scenes footage, and the full uncut interviews from Not Quite Hollywood.

So, to celebrate this release, here at AB Film Review, we’re giving you the chance to win a copy of the Bluray. All you have to do is name what your favourite Australian film is from the Australian New Wave era. The giveaway will run for two weeks until December 6th.

Andrew has been a film lover all of his life. For a while now he's been talking about how great films are and usually that's been directly to his wife, Bernadette. Now with AB Film Review everyone else in the world can listen to what Andrew has to say to his wife. Bernadette grew up renting videos from a Plains Video. She mostly hired out Cry Baby and wore the tape thin learning the lines to the John Waters classic. After a series of arguments in the car ride home with her husband, Andrew, the two decided to record their arguments and launch them into the world for everyone to listen to.
