BBC First British Film Festival 2016 Schedule Announced

The BBC First British Film Festival – 2016 schedule has been announced, and boy is it a great one.

Honestly, sitting down to write a post about all the films that will be screened at the festival would take an age it’s that exhaustive. With Australian premiere screenings of films like the Oscar hopefuls A United Kingdom and A Monster Calls, you’d think that’d be enough. But no, of course not, this is the BBC First British Film Festival after all.

A United Kingdom

Other first run screenings include:

Terence Davies A Quiet Passion, Ken Loach’s I, Daniel Blake, Adam Smith’s Trespass Against Us, Derek Cianfrance’s The Light Between Oceans and many, many more…

Joining those films are retrospective screenings of… *deep breath*…

GoldfingerHighlanderOliver! The Man Who Fell to EarthSid & NancyA Room With a ViewThe French Lieutenant’s Woman… and more…

To check out all of the screenings and start hyperventilating about how you’re going to manage to fit them all in, head to the BBC First British Film Festival website to purchase tickets.

Andrew has been a film lover all of his life. For a while now he's been talking about how great films are and usually that's been directly to his wife, Bernadette. Now with AB Film Review everyone else in the world can listen to what Andrew has to say to his wife. Bernadette grew up renting videos from a Plains Video. She mostly hired out Cry Baby and wore the tape thin learning the lines to the John Waters classic. After a series of arguments in the car ride home with her husband, Andrew, the two decided to record their arguments and launch them into the world for everyone to listen to.
